EN – Join us for a festive programme conceived as an upbeat to the fiftieth anniversary of our orchestra, which we will celebrate during the 2024–25 season. The Cello Concerto by Gulda presents a joyful mix of classical, jazz, big band and improvisation, whilst Roussel’s Petite Suite juxtaposes different genres to a similar extent. There are no limits to what may act as inspiration: it can be as unpredictable as the unsteady gait of a hen, as illustrated in the two works with this name by Rameau and Haydn. As the Anne and Françoise Groben Prize (a competition launched by the OCL in 2017) invites candidates for its second edition, we are delighted to welcome back Benjamin Kruithof, winner of the first Groben Prize, and recently winner of the 2022 George Enescu Prize.
