From the banks of the Moselle in Ehnen, where it was founded by three young girls (Anne and Françoise Groben, Dominique Poppe) in their twelfth year, our orchestra, "Les Musiciens", has flourished throughout the Greater Region, notably with memorable "Connaissances" cycles, for which many buses took the curious to follow the concert tours organised by Professor Joseph Groben to discover the history and music of this country.
Rooted in the region, Les Musiciens became the Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra at the instigation of the then Minister of Culture, Mrs Erna Hennicot-Schoepges.
As a prelude to its anniversary season, the OCL would like to pay tribute to Anne and Françoise Groben, who instilled the family spirit and high artistic standards that have endured in our orchestra to this day.
