On the cusp of Advent

EN – Since 1981, the choir has given a concert ‘Au seuil de l’Avent’ (‘on the brink of Advent’), on the first Sunday of the Advent season. For this event, which has over the years become a much-acclaimed tradition with a faithful audience, the Maîtrise de Sainte-Cécile joins forces with the OCL in a programme dedicated to the children of Johann Sebastian Bach. Wilhelm Friedemann Bach and Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach were both involved in the transition of musical styles, one from the Baroque to the Rococo, the other from the Late Baroque to a new Classicism.
