FR – Depuis 1981, le chœur se produit en concert « Au seuil de l’Avent » le premier dimanche de l’Avent. Pour ce rendez-vous devenu au fil des ans une tradition acclamée par un fidèle public, la Maîtrise Sainte-Cécile s’associe à l’OCL dans un programme dédié aux enfants de Johann Sebastian Bach. Wilhelm Friedemann Bach et Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach auront tous deux accompagné une transition musicale l’un du baroque vers le rococo, l’autre du baroque tardif vers le nouveau classicisme.
DE – Seit 1981 findet am ersten Adventssonntag die konzertante Aufführung „An der Schwelle zum Advent“ statt. Anlässlich dieses im Laufe der Jahre traditionell gewordenen und vom Publikum begeistert empfangenen Ereignisses macht sich die Maîtrise Sainte-Cécile gemein mit der OCL (Kammerorchester Luxemburg) im Rahmen eines den Kindern von Johann Sebastian Bach gewidmeten Spielprogramms. Wilhelm Friedemann Bach und Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach haben beide einem Übergang Pate gestanden, der erstgenannte vom Barock zu Rokoko, der zweite vom späten Barock zum neuen Klassizismus.
EN – Since 1981, the choir has given a concert ‘Au seuil de l’Avent’ (‘on the brink of Advent’), on the first Sunday of the Advent season. For this event, which has over the years become a much-acclaimed tradition with a faithful audience, the Maîtrise de Sainte-Cécile joins forces with the OCL in a programme dedicated to the children of Johann Sebastian Bach.
