EN – A hundred years after the premiere of the one and only musical by composer Lou Koster, an adaptation of her An der Schwemm will be presented on stage at the CAPE. This operetta, with a libretto in Luxembourgish by writer and journalist Batty Weber, tells the story of Lory, a confident swimmer who resists the advances of the civil servant Zengerlé in the swimming pool, whilst falling in love herself with the handsome soldier and swimming coach, Reddy. The swimming baths here symbolise the framework of the changing society of the 1920s, where the central character claims greater liberty of thought. For this production, the composer Tatsiana Zelianko has added two short scenes. Roland Gelhausen, well known as an author and cabaret artist, has slightly revised and completed the libretto.
